Kiara dressed up for today's dancing show at school to celebrate Quito festivities.

Birthday party

A classmate of Lucas had a birthday party

The kids loved it of course and that is what counts

But as the party was at a play-zone in a mall there were about 5 birthday parties going on at the same time and on top of that it was open for anybody so it was crazy to keep a check on Kiara and Dana once they started to run around

House construction in Mindo

A visit to Mindo to see how our house construction moves on

It hasn't rained almost anything and the workers have a plastic to get some shade in the burning sun

House in Mindo

Finally we started to build our house in Mindo. If the plans goes well we might be able to enjoy a first BBQ in April or May 2014

Kiara at skating school

Kiara started skating school a while ago as she wanted to learn skating. It takes place in Lucas school on Saturdays from 08:00-11:00.

And while Kiara is skating, Lucas and Dana plays around in the school yard.

They are learning basic things and skills to maneuver good.

Dan wants to do everything that Lucas or Kiara is doing

And that includes to swing high or she gets pissed off.

And she seems to be happy in either the monkey bars or the rings. Dont know why all our kids are like monkeys? Maybe because both their mom and dad were the same?

After skating Kiara also wants a moment in the swings before heading back home for lunch.

Finally getting started in Mindo

Our land in Mindo where we finally got started on our house as of today when work started on the foundation with some escalation. Here is how it looked to start with.

And after some cleaning about 2 weeks ago and a bit more leveled out and the picture is taken from the corner of the land where the house will stand. The rest of the about 2800 m2 land will be part open space for the kids to play, part garden with flowers and part garden with things like yucca, bananas, herbs, orange tree, lime tree, chili, papaya and whatever fruits that can help with a great lunch and of course the mandatory BBQ area will be arranged by yours truly.

The fence was planted recently as well and while this is growing the barbwire will keep the cows out from the place. As fence we chose a mix of Crotus, Bugambilla and Cucarda.

Kiara represent her class at school

Kiara was chosen to represent her class at school as "Mardina" or godmother during sport-day so she got to dress up instead of having the usual school uniform for a day.

Notice that Kiara and the boy are almost a head taller than the rest of the class and even taller that everybody in the class next to them who are one year older. Maybe that is why they were chosen to represent the class?

Kiara starts school

 Kiaras first day in uniforme for the first day that was basicaly to meet the new teacher at her pre-basica class.
 More important the first day for Kiara though was to try out the playground at school.

My angelhair made by Serita from the GLA groups this year. She made some kind of brades in my hair but after a while it started to itch to mych and when loosing it up I looked like this......thanks Serita
