First cousins birthday

Lucas and Kiara trying the horse at the birthday party for Camiel, their first cousin.
Here comes Camiel with a friend as well.
After the horses it was time for a trip around the place with a tractor.
And then the kids needed to recharge their batteries with some sugar.
As usual on a birthday party in Ecuador there are games for the kids and here Kiara has to place  a clothespin on a Lama
And Lucas running with a ball in a wheelbarrow with mommy guiding behind.
And Kiara also ran like crazy with the wheelbarrow in the other team.
Even I got a task in our team....to catch a white bunny.....
Camiel with his parents ready to try the cake with Kiara close by.
Lucas found a good friend at the party.

Visit to Tena

Laura tired after a long day in the Amazon heat.

Kiara like a monkey all over the place as usual. Here we are at a host family for a visit.

There is always something to collect when your name is Lucas.

Lucas found a hammock and decided to hide/sleep.

Cooling of our feet outside Tena.

Lucas found a friend swinging around in the trees looking for something to eat.

Animal day on Isabela Island, Galapagos

At a visit to a lagoon outside Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island we found 19 Flamingos walking around getting ready for the breeding season.

More Falmingos in the same laggon

A friendly Giant Tortoise at the National Park breeding center

Some Flamingos got a bit scared by a car passing by and started to fly around for a while.

Ducks, probably Galapagos Ducks, at the lagoon.

On a hike through the Wetlands outside the village I found this Sea Iguana that had his private Island in one of the lagoons.

Bartolome Island, Galapagos

A female Lava Lizzard is coming out from her nest.

Me and the girls from Iowa State University making a group picture from the top of Barlolome Island. They almost dropped me, head first, for a while so it felt a bit nervious but turned out fine.

Fruit farm

Papayas that are not ready yet but in a week or soo the lower ones are ready to be picked, pealed and eaten. I dont like the ones from the mainland too much but these from Galapagos are really sweet and good.
