Quito colonial part

La basilica church where we later climbed up to the top right tower for a coffee.

El Panecillo with the virgen looking down over the old town.

Some of the streets are very steep and it is not easy for everybody.

Plaza Grande with the liberty monument and the Presidential palace in the background

A typical "fruit lady" selling Bananas and Maduros

Another "fruit lady"

La Ronda street where the first residential houses were built by the Spanish when they re-founded Quito after the Inka's

Typical balcony on the old Spanish houses in Quito

La Ronda street

There is a lady feeding doves in every town...

Change of guards at the Presidential palace

The president of Ecuador in the middle overlooking the change of guards at the Presidential palace.

The virgin at El Panecillo

Back at the <>>>>>Basilica church we headed for the roof

Nice view over the old town over a cup of coffee

Between the inside and the outside roof of the church

The two towers with the old town in the background
